V1.01

logoaway v40beta3.zip

original vdubfilter

logoaway_se.xml

V1.0

Installation:
Save the files into the folder: ..\pinnacle\Studio 9\plugins\rtfx\vdub

This filter is part of the standardinstallation vdub_for_studio_setup.
Please find details in “Installation in Studio”

Remark:
The new Betaversion of the VDub2RTFX-Plugin allows an easy installation and usage of all virtualdub filters. See details here: vdub2rtfx_V6

On TV-shows you always find these anyoing TV-logos.
Now it is easy to remove these logos with the Virtualdub-Filter “Logoaway”.

Standardinstallation:

Download vdub_for_studio_setup and execute the setup program. Please find details on the page “Installation in Studio

Expert installation:

  1. if not already installed you need the Vdub-to-RTFX-Shell Vdub2RTFx.FEX . Download this file and copy it in the directory “...Pinnacle\Studio 9\Plugins\RTFx\vdub” (if this directory does not exits, please create it)
  2. download the “Logoaway_filter logoaway v40beta3.zip “ You’ll find it and approxmately 100 additional Filter in the FilterEffectsList.
Open the ZIP-File and extract the file “logoaway.vdf” into the just created directory  “...Pinnacle\Studio 9\Plugins\RTFx\vdub”
  3. Now you need an XML-file, defining the english user interface. You’ll find this file in the  FilterEffectsList. too. The filename is  “logoaway_se.xml” (_se = Studio-Userinterface english, _sd = Studio-User Interface german and _v = Original Virtualdub-Userinterface). Download the appropriate file i.e. “logoaway_se.xml”  and it to our now well known directory “...Pinnacle\Studio 9\Plugins\RTFx\vdub”.
  4. Rename the XML-file to “logoaway.xml”. (Both files  - VDF und XML - have to have the same name, which one doesn’t matter)
  5. Ready!!

Using the filter

After launching Studio 9, you will see a new category in the effectslist “HL’s VD-Filter”. (If you don’t like this name, please feel free to change it in the XML-file to whatever you want)

In this category you will find the new effect “Logo away”. Use this filter on a video where you want to remove the Logo.

You will see following Userinterface:

With the sliders you define in which area a logo should be removed. To make handling easier a dotted border is added to the video to show this area. This border is switched on and off with the control “Show Border”

With the sliders for X- and Y-position we now move the area until it cobers the TV-logo. With the slider for “width” and “heigth” we adjust the size of the area until the logo is completey covered. Don’t make the area too big!

 The Logo is gone..

Don’t forget: Switch off “Show Border” , otherwise you will see the border on your rendered video.

The result looks great. No TV-logo anymore.
