Installation of the Filter

The new version of the VDub2RTFX-Plugin allows an easy installation and usage of all virtualdub filters.
See details here: vdub2rtfx

Download vdub2rtfx.fex and copy the file into the studio plugin folder in the studio installation directory:

c:\program files\pinnacle\Studio 10\Plugins\rtfx\virtualdubfx

Create the folder if it does not exist yet.

Download the virtualdub-filter you want to use - see the VirtualDub-filter list

After a restart of Studio, you will see a new category “virtualdub FX” in your effect list. In the effects list you will find the selected effects. You may use  and edit these effects like the build in effects. For a description how to use some effects please refer to the examples list.

Editing a Virtualdub-Filter

Select the filter i.e. MSU OLd Cinema 1.7

Edit the Filter by clicking on the “Edit”-button.

The edit window of the filter opens. You can now edit the filter parameters. In this case there is an advanced button which opens an additional window with more parameters.

Some virtualdub-filters provide a “Preview-button”. Pressing this button open the virtualdub-preview window where you can preview the changes. Unfortunately a preview on the Studio Screen is not possible.

By pressing the “OK-Button” the changes are saved and you return to Studio.
